When Rebekah contacted me about shooting her newborn session, one of the things I asked was if she knew what she was having.  Her response; a girl and I was just a tad bit excited.  I’ve been on a boy streak for the last 6 months so getting to bring in the pastel colors was a little bit exciting for me.

Isabella’s older brothers joined in the fun for the first part of the session.  Working with siblings can always be tricky but we got some seriously cute shots of the three of them and then it was all about Isabella.  Once fed, she feel asleep quickly and we were able to get so much.  She’s such a sweet little nugget and I’m completely in love with this session.

A little partial to the wreath since I made it and was finally able to have a girl to use it with but the rest of the session came out perfect also!

We had Isabella’s session on Halloween so it was only fitting to bring a little Halloween into her session.  I do believe she is the cutest little witch ever!

Adonis | 17 days old | St. Pete Birth & Newborn Session

About 4 months after I shot Lindsey & Adonis’s wedding, I ran into her at Salty’s in Gulfport.  She leaned over, whispered in my ear “I’m pregnant” and I got a HUGE grin on my face.  Later that week, she shot me a message and asked me about shooting her birth, something I absolutely love doing.

Well in true Lindsey fashion, nothing went as planned.  We scheduled her maternity session, headed to Sand Key and that night we ended up having the worst lightning storm so we rescheduled for a few days later.  The next day I got a text from her saying she was headed to the hospital to monitor her blood pressure, something she had been battling her entire pregnancy.  It was either she was headed home that night or staying the night.  8am Saturday morning, next text was that they were inducing her and for me to be on standby.  I rearranged a few things that I had planned for the day and we waited.  Well again nothing went according to plan.  Around noon, I got a text from Adonis and they were headed in for an emergency c-section.  I headed to the hospital and got there as soon as she was coming out of recovery so I was able to get some photos right after baby Adonis was born.  So tiny but the cutest thing ever!

With Adonis being 4 weeks premature, having him in the studio at 17 days old wasn’t an issue.  Preemies usually sleep better for their sessions since they are smaller and even being here 2 1/2 weeks later, he was still coming in at a whooping 6.5#.  With the exception of taking about 30 minutes to feed, we went through his session so fast!  Don’t expect that all the time but I totally wish he could tell other newbies that it’s not all that bad lol
