If you frequent downtown St. Pete, they are extremely dog friendly.  Anywhere you go, as long as they have an outside patio, your dog can come with you.  Anywhere you go, you will more than likely see people out with their dogs and most of the time, the dogs are getting more attention then the people are.  But isn’t that how it should be?  😉

Then there’s the Dog Bar.  My mastiff Brienne, is a little obsessed with the Dog Bar.  She doesn’t do anything when we’re there she knows when Sunday rolls around or she gets in the car, she’s more than likely going to the Dog Bar.  They have a huge play yard where your dog(s) can play (or like Bri, just lay in the middle of the play yard), take a dip in one of the pools or just chill out on one of the risers.  They do have an inside area where you can sit at the bar if you don’t want to go in the play yard or if your dog is a little uneasy going into the play yard.  There are rules to coming to the Dog Bar, so be sure you read those before you go (which you really should!).

If you come to the Dog Bar, these are a few of the regular faces that you could see.  I mean what a better place to go?  Sit.  Stay.  Drink.

When Katelyn first booked me for her’s and Peter’s wedding, soon after that she started following my Facebook page and instagram.  If you’ve seen my instagram, it’s full of my dogs.  Yes, I’m that “mom”.  She would message me telling me how she wanted to get a shoot done with Molly but there was no way Peter was going to go for it.

Fast forward to December.  Peter shoots me an email and wants to get Katelyn a gift certificate for a pet session.  My immediate response to him…”you’re seriously going to freak her out!”  Fast forward again to right after Christmas when Katelyn wants to schedule Molly’s session…OMG I think I squealed, A LOT!  Peter won lol

We met up this past weekend at Wall Springs.  Well that was my first mistake because I didn’t realize that half the park is shut down and the field that I wanted to use is full of construction equipment since they are rebuilding the observation tower that was burned down last year.  That’s fine because when you’re shooting a 20-25lb 4 legged “child”, you get lucky because you don’t need that much room.  Molly’s terrier energy shown through when she wouldn’t sit still for anything, avoiding eye contact at all costs but Katelyn pulled out her favorite tennis ball, played for a few minutes and finally Molly was perfect!
